At Best Western International I was in charge of the main call center Nortel 81C Multi-Network Group PBX and all the call center equipment.

 

Parts of my responsibilities were to engineer remote PBXs for smaller offices and in some occasions I also acted as a field technician, installing equipment and completing major upgrades.

 

Problem solving and the ability to analyze situations were critical skills for the job. Since textbooks only teach how things work, it took a strong, persistent, organizational and analytical personality to take the information on how telecommunications works and apply it to the real world where a variety of unforeseen and unexpected circumstances required unique problem solving to get the job done.

 

CHEP INERNATIONAL

 

At CHEP International I worked as a Telecommunications Engineer with a main focus on their large call center and data center.

 

With a geo redundant PBX model and over 3,000 end points in two locations in the US plus 5 international locations, my daily duties were mostly focused on maintaining and writing complex IVR, ACD, and Call Accounting scripts as well as to seek for way to increase productivity and minimize operating cost.

 

The corporation was affected after the Florida Tropical Storm "Charlie" reason for me to relocate and seek a new opportunity with another corporation.

 

US BANK

 

At US Bank INC I performed as a leader of 12 Engineers and during an extended period of time I also had the role of temp team Manager.

 

With 60 thousand end points across 3,200 locations distributed amongst 23 states, we supported all users while migrating entire buildings from traditional TDM technology onto IP enabled PBXs.

 

Just 3 months into my employment at US Bank I was awarded with the Shining Star employee recognition for saving the corporation over 300,000,00 dollar by engineering and building an entire phone system out of parts and pieces they had stored.
